Casino Hotels Plan to Close Monday & Tuesday

Direct Hit on Atlantic City Expected, Hotel Casinos Closing and Will Evacuate!

As of Saturday at about 12 Noon, we have heard from a few casinos that they will close their doors on Monday and Tuesday October 29 and 30, 2012 due to the expected storm path of Hurricane Sandy.  NOTE:  The weekend customers are fine, so everything is open this weekend, on Sunday the hotels in Atlantic City will begin their evacuation process and close at Midnight on Sunday October 28, 2012.

IMPORTANT: Locals can move their cars and vehicles to higher ground at the Wave Parking garage at the corner of Fairmont and Mississippi avenues for free, parking fees have been waived at this location in Atlantic City.

VISITORS: Plan on getting out of town on Sunday, be prepared for minor traffic delays entering the Atlantic City Expressway travelling west bound. The storm is expected to arrive on Sunday evening and the worst of the wind and potential damage is due to arrive in the late am hours of Tuesday morning.

HISTORIC:  Forecasters and experts are predicting 80 MPH winds, 10 plus inches of round, a 10 Feet Tidal Search on beach and bay waterfront locations.  The storm is one of the largest events in history and "The Perfect Storm" is said to be in process and building.  The barrier islands must be evacuated and locals are expected to be prepared to lose power for up to 10 days as reported by Atlantic Electric in South Jersey.
